Question about rules: fiction vs real ppl

Back to Site Feedback

Saw someone with fictional school shooters in their heroes section; the fictional characters in question are quite literally inspired by and based off of the columbine shooters.

I was inclined to report the person, but I am wondering, would putting fictional terrorists, serial killers, school shooters, etc. in your heroes sections be a reportable offence? Or does it not count because the people are not real and didn’t actually commit a crime?

I’m asking because I do know that there’s a certain subsect of people who will put fictional mass murderers in their heroes to allude to liking the people that said fictional characters were based off of, knowing that if they put real people, they’d be banned. It’s a dogwhistle of sorts. But again, im just wondering.

im not sure how seriously its taken but i really do think it should be, reflects their mental well being too, tho the characters FICTIONAL they still idolize a school shooter.. their ADMITTING that somebody, even if tECHINCALLY fake, who shot up a school is somebody they look up to.??? they should be banned for the sake of their own sanity, they should be away from the internet...!!

in their heroes??? thats a bit weird...i get having an interest in shooters or other criminals..like for me i like to learn about their mental states because its something im interested in but id never consider one of them my hero let alone someone i like???

we'll pretend to leave and then, we'll meet again, when both our cars collide.
