That or having a privacy setting to where friends can only comment?

If comments can be disabled, a symbol should be added to the blog summary that way people don't read a bunch of crap they may have something to say about then realize they can't even engage with it.
When people don't want any comments this is what I currently imagine. ^
To the people who disable comments; why? What are your reasons for wanting to do so?
@X The other night I wrote a bulletin just wanting to yell into the void and at the end said “no comments necessary ty.” Still got several comments. They were all very kind, and I appreciate the kindness, but sometimes I just want the void and no kindness in return.
