As in, if your favourite show/book/etc has different portrayals or versions, what are your favourites of those?
Personally I prefer LoL Viktor over Arcane Viktor, but I like both and my opinion shifts sometimes. I like LoL Viktor more because he’s very transgender-coded and he’s really masculine as the Machine Herald, which as a disabled guy myself I really appreciate. I think people think we’re less masculine because we’re weaker, and they think that weakness aligns with femininity, which is a misogynistic view, so I’m glad they didn’t do that in LoL. I do think they should have made Viktor into the Machine Herald rather than the Arcane Herald in S2.
And for Frankenstein, I ADORE. ADOOORE the Bernie Wrightson illustrations of Victor Frankenstein and Adam… Adam looks actually creepy and monstrous but also still so awesome, and Victor just looks perfect. The way Bernie draws him is so CORRECT. Especially in a world where most people make him look like a 40yo man (he was early 20s when he made Adam). He also looks like me and I relate to Victor Frankenstein a lot so ummm… I’m literally victor guys 🥹
but ya. What is YOUR favourite way YOUR favourite media is portrayed? I probably won’t know what you’re talking about especially if it’s Anime but I’m still interested
