Im a 15 years old Egyptian girl, and here in egypt we dont have much film schools there are only 3 i think, two of them are private (which would be hella expensive) and one is not a college, its something smaller than that, its the most known cinema schools in egypt and teaches everything about films but the thing is when someone hears abt it they think you are a failure and couldn’t make it out so u chose this cuz it takes people who got 60% ig💀 i dont wanna be a director i wanna be a filmmaker so i dont know what to do cause here in Egypt i only hear about “directors”. My ideas are more of a David lynch style which i dont think much will understand in Egypt or even would be allowed to get published (ofc without nudity or stuff that are not acceptable in Egypt but still). So i want to know how on earth should i start my path? Even if its not now, but i need guidance in any way, i thought about going to a film school outside of Egypt but thats impossible my parents wont allow it, but they allow me to travel anywhere in Egypt to go to the school i want but outside no, but thats good i have friends who are not allowed to leave their cities💀 i need any help even if its a book i should read.
