Honestly, I don't even know where to start because I'm so tired of everything happening in our house. I'm tired of the expectations, the strict rules, the constant arguments, and the feeling that my parents don't really listen to my side. Sometimes, I just want to cry because everything feels so overwhelming, and I don't know how to handle it anymore. My dad expects me to learn so many things, especially when it comes to music. He wants me to learn the violin, flute, technology, and other skills he thinks will be useful for my future. I already play the piano and guitar, but that doesn't mean I want to become a music teacher. I want to be a fashion designer, a music producer, an artist, or a content creator. Those are the things I'm actually interested in, but even though my parents seem happy about my dreams, I feel like they don't really give me enough time to pursue them. It's like they want me to be good at everything instead of letting me focus on what I genuinely love. I'm sorry, but I'm a human being, not a machine. I can't learn everything quickly just because someone expects me to. I have my own pace, interests, and limits. I already have so many homeschool modules to finish, and on top of that, I have to practice songs, play music at church, and make musical arrangements for my dad's students. Sometimes, I wonder why he keeps depending on me to do those things when I already have so much work to finish. I'm glad I learned how to make musical arrangements, but I never wanted it to become another responsibility I have to carry. I want to use my skills for myself, too, not just for other people. And honestly, having ADHD makes everything feel even more difficult sometimes. It's not always easy for me to organize my thoughts, explain what I'm feeling, or find the right words to say when something is bothering me. Sometimes, I have so much going on in my head that I don't even know where to begin explaining myself. I'm trying to understand my own emotions while also figuring out how to make other people understand them. And when I can't explain myself properly, it becomes even more frustrating because I feel like people might misunderstand me or assume I'm just being dramatic. Sometimes, I need more time to process things, but it feels like everyone expects me to respond, understand, and get everything done immediately. It's exhausting when you're already struggling internally, but you also have to struggle to explain why you're struggling in the first place. I wish my parents understood that sometimes, I don't need another lecture or another expectation. I just need patience, time, and someone willing to listen without immediately judging me. My dad also wants us to read all the religious books he buys, but honestly, some of the things written in them don't match my beliefs, especially when it comes to LGBTQ+ people. I understand that religion is important to him, but I wish he would understand that we have our own minds and opinions. We can't just read something and immediately accept everything as the truth. We're human beings who need time to think, understand, and form our own beliefs. I also have a boyfriend, and my dad keeps saying that being LGBTQ+ isn't allowed in Christianity. But why does my relationship have to become something I'm constantly judged for? I know what I feel, and I chose to love my boyfriend. I understand that my parents have their own beliefs, but I wish they would respect my feelings instead of constantly preaching to me about them. My mom has her own strict rules, too. Sometimes, even LEGO, anime figurines, Roblox, movies, and music become problems because she thinks certain things are demonic or bad. I honestly don't understand why everything has to be treated that way. They're hobbies and forms of entertainment. I know parents want to protect their children, but I wish she would try to understand things before judging them. Sometimes, it feels like we can't even enjoy the things we love without worrying about getting scolded. What makes everything worse is that my parents are always arguing. Both of them seem to want to be right, and neither wants to listen to the other. My dad uses religion and psychology to defend himself, while my mom uses things she learns from social media. But sometimes, I feel like they're so busy proving their points that they forget to understand each other. And when they shout at us, they expect us to listen, but they don't always give us the same chance to explain our side. We're their children, but we have feelings, too. We deserve to be heard instead of having our feelings dismissed just because we're younger. I'm so tired of feeling like I have to follow everyone's expectations while having little time for myself. Sometimes, I get headaches, cry, and feel so stressed that I don't even want to do anything anymore. My dreams used to make me excited, but now, because of all this pressure, I sometimes feel like giving up and becoming an ordinary person who doesn't have to deal with so many expectations. I hate that I'm starting to lose motivation for the things I genuinely want to do because I'm too exhausted from everything else. I don't want to hate my parents, but honestly, my feelings toward them have changed because of everything I've experienced. I feel so much anger and disappointment, especially toward my dad. Sometimes, I even think about moving out when I turn 18 because I want to experience having freedom and making my own decisions. I want to live my own life without feeling like every little thing I do has to be approved by them. I still care about my siblings, and despite everything, I know my family isn't perfect, but I'm just so tired of the situation we're in. I don't expect my parents to be perfect, and I know they might believe they're doing what's best for us. But I wish they would understand that loving their children doesn't mean controlling every part of their lives. We have our own dreams, interests, opinions, and feelings. We shouldn't have to become exactly like our parents just to make them happy. I'm not asking for a life without responsibilities. I'm just asking for some freedom, understanding, and time to become my own person. I want to pursue my dreams without feeling guilty, learn at my own pace, and enjoy the things I love without constantly being judged. I'm still young, and I'm still figuring out who I am. I don't want to spend my entire life trying to meet everyone's expectations until I forget what I actually want for myself. Sometimes, I wish my parents would stop and ask themselves whether I'm actually doing okay instead of constantly asking me to do more. I wish they would notice when I'm overwhelmed, even when I can't explain it properly. Not everyone knows how to express their feelings clearly, especially when they're stressed and have too many thoughts running through their head. Sometimes, I might sound angry when I'm actually hurt. Sometimes, I might struggle to explain myself even when I know exactly what I want to say deep down. And sometimes, I might go quiet because I don't know how to put everything into words. That doesn't mean I have nothing to say. It doesn't mean I don't care. And it definitely doesn't mean my feelings don't matter. I'm tired of being expected to be good at everything. I'm tired of feeling unheard. I'm tired of being pressured to become someone I'm not. I'm tired of having to figure out how I feel while also trying to make everyone else understand me. I'm a person, not a robot. I'm their child, not their project. I have my own dreams, struggles, and limits, and I wish they would understand that I can't always handle everything perfectly. I don't need my parents to understand everything about me immediately. I just need them to try to understand me instead of assuming they already know what's best for me.
