maybe im not old enough to understand but i dont really understand why some people (especially ike 18 & 19 year olds) REFUSE to interact with minors

im 15 so my general age range for adding people is 13-18, but i dont see anything wrong with young adults being friends with teenagers as long as they dont have any malicious intentions.
although i get adults not wanting to private message minors, commenting on bulletins or whatever is fine

yeah...i have like a few adults added on here and ive only had liek full conversations in dms with 2 of them (granted one of them thought i was 16) but i just dont get it lowk..like YOU know you dont have bad intentions and the person adding you also assumes you dont have bad intentions so idk

i can think of 2 reasons off the top of my head: sometimes ppl just wanna make friends that are closer to their age (like someone in college isn't usually gonna hang out w a middle schooler irl) or sometimes ppl dont wanna catch allegations even if they're not preds at all. i think it will make sense when ur a little older. but i personally don't wanna alienate ppl and i have the common sense to talk to ppl of any age with the way that i would just talk to them in real life; if they're younger or older. but like if ur fucking 12 or younger (technically the legal age to have social media in the uk) i'm just gonna pretend like u dont exist.

and yeah i dont think id friend anyone under 13 (not that anyone under 13 is on here) because the maturity difference will probably be noticable and infuriating

probably because everyone thinks people younger than them are annoying. i dont wanna hear kids yap about middle school drama, young adults probably dont wanna hear us yap about high school.
