Hi!! I have quite the question!
What kind of shows, movies, and other media did scenekids and emos used to watch back in the 2000s and early 2010s? There HAS to be more than just the obvious stuff, right?
I'm talking about the kind of things that were popular within the scene/emo subcultures, or media that just happened to fit the vibe. Obviously, Invader Zim is one of the first things that comes to mind, but I'm curious about what else people were watching back then
Were there any specific cartoons, anime, weird internet animations, edgy comedy shows, horror movies, or even obscure shows that were popular among scenekids and emos? Maybe stuff that people nowadays wouldn't immediately associate with the scene?
I'm kinda trying to discover more of the media that was part of the culture back then, especially the more obscure or forgotten stuff.
I'd love to hear your recommendations, childhood favorites, or even things YOU personally watched as a scene kid/emo!
Oh and also if there's anything modern too, i'm interrested !
