so there's this guy who ive developed some romantic feelings towards and hes such a great guy. i was talking to a group of people about him and everyone agreed that hes so sweet and just a great person. then like a few weeks after ive developed these feelings for him, i overheard one of my friends getting teased by her other mates, and i heard them teasing her about this guy. so, i thought that she also had a crush on him. after this, i stopped talking to him as much (we didnt talk much anyways) because my friend was always way closer to him and they got along so well. then, a few days ago i saw her and she was wearing a jacket so i complimented it and she said that it was her boyfriend's. now, i was a bit confused so i was said "you have a boyfriend?" and turns out she was dating that guy for months. people were so shocked that i didn't know. but something about me is that i will make an active choice to not talk about boys and dating because there's more to me than just gossip and i don't want to be someone whose life revolves around guys. it does kinda suck that he has a girlfriend but im glad that it's her because shes so lovely. i guess i should just look on the bright side
