tbh, i think pretty much all modern pop music is pretty bad. the only decent popstar is madonna

pop is one of my fav genres of music..but i think recent pop isnt that great

olivia rodrigo is great and my goat chappell roan is to

and i also love britney spears but everything else is kinda meh

the 80s had some banging pop though

The pop music scene or really, just the music scene in general fell apart when inexperienced people started pursuing music solely for money and not for passion, which is why a lot of music nowadays sounds so monotonous and mediocre.  Also, it fell apart because of TikTok. Many artists nowadays don't even produce a full length song anymore because everyone wants a song that has a catchy part that can fit the length of their TikTok video. I don't inherently think that all pop music is bad as I grew up listening to the genre, but a lot of pop artists of our current time don't even try because like I said, they're in it for the money, and because they know that people will still listen to their music regardless if they put little to no effort in their songs. 

I agree, however I like Chappell roan.
