For me, it was either DeviantArt or Wattpad. I had been introduced to both around the same time (sometime in 2017-18, at age 15), but I don't use my accounts on either sites anymore, mostly because of the degradation of the sites by implementation of AI, heavy algorithmic feeds, and constant asks for money or premium statuses.
it wuz r/teenagers in 2020 when I wuz 15. it was pretty kool to begin with but after mods stopped doing their job lots of hate started spreading.
Altho I guess actually maybe if it counts the forums for the small Minecraft server i used to be part of HelloMiners. A small economy server. I joined wen I was like 11 in 2016 those forumms were uhhhh interesting sum nice ppl some interesting folks lik one guy who was OBSESSED with ford pickups yh i stayed there till i was like 16 then after the community slowly began dying
Back in 2017 or 18 when Amino was a big thing, I heard about how weird the people there were, which is why I actively avoided the english community and joined a German Amino app lol. I used 2 post a lot of art on there, got nice comments, couldn't log in anymore and eventually switched over to Pinterest in 2019-2020, which was a small trailor for what I'd find on Discord lmfaooo. Then in 2021-2023 was the Discord prime time gulp..
If I'm being honest, probably here! I've always been way to scared to post or comment anywhere else but everyone on here seems so kind! So ya, either here or Pinterest but I never post or comment over there lol.
When i was 10 i joined here.fm and then I moved to discord and it all went downhill from there. But i do have fond memories with my online friends from this youtuber server, I became really good friends with the owner but then one of his vids blew up and a lot of people joined and I was scared to talk.... then it was an italian art server with gay furries and the owner had a vore fetish

genuinely i could not tell you because it was so long ago LOL. my timeline of what i was doing online has become mixed up all these years later. i don't even know what year i started going online a lot? it might have been 2008ish. all i know is that i got online because i wanted to post pictures of my guinea pigs so eyes all over the world could see their rotund beauty.

People were funny there and that's the main reason I stayed there for a few years. But looking back, it was a place filled with toxicity, which it's a shame because I actually liked that server..!! I had to leave, idk if those guys are still alive.
Quotev when I was like... 11? The og account I was on to use it was prob deleted or sum. For context its basically just Wattpad but with personality quizzes that I used to OBSESS over. Mainly with Rebornica Fnaf, Undertale, Baldi, or whatever indie game was popular at the time. Was sorta like a comfort space during that time.

some sorta weird, unofficial gacha life/nightcore community on youtube. just kinda interacting with strangers in my "fanbases" and other "creators" in my niche. i was 12 or so, making nightcore videos on one channel, and gacha life MVs on another. what a time to be alive.
that must've been around 2018. i also went on amino a bit after that and got up to various antics on there
Honestly my first big community was Biganimaloncampus it was an online community where you pretended to be animals like going through college and you can roleplay and create characters. it was so much fun! sadly that site is pretty much dead. which is saddening.
