i'm super tired of seeing reels or tiktok or whatever. i want to delete my accs too but scared of losing touch w my friends or other people. still mindlessly scrolling down and down without a soul and i'm sick of it. everything used to be more fun back then like the old forums, facebook n facebook games era. i'm glad i've found this site though it clears my mind just enough.

I feel ya, i only have an insta account and refuse to get tiktok. I rarely enter insta now since getting on FR and mostly contact friends on messaging apps. I've told 'em I'm just tired of the doomscroll, ai & shit ton of ads i get on apps like those. They don't get it but they don't have to lol. I'd much rather be outside of those social medias. The peace i feel in FR can't  be beat. 

I can relate. TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat are black holes of addiction and doomscrolling. I've considered deleting them to help myself detox from the social media cult. FR is honestly so refreshing, and it's a really nice place to hang out!

I ditched all main social media sites for the Fedivese and Mastodon. Theres an oprn source and federated l, fediverse knock off of most different kinds of Social Media.

Reddit? Try Lemmy, X? Try Mastodon, Youtube? Try Peertube. 

If you do try the Fediverse its important to try to understand activity pub. 

fr, i can relate, i wanna delete all of my accounts but i just really can't, we have the same reason , but me instead of deleting my accounts, i just deactivate all soc meds, except tiktok i didnt deactivate it but im no longer online there too

I can heavily relate, because for some reason. If we compare the most widely used social platforms to these underrated and old ones, its more toxic in the widely used social platforms.
