 I find shit scary when it feels real and not some unbelievable haunted doll plotline if that makes sense at all

@Static Stella Like something that could happen irl?

@XxShinobiBladeAngelxX

Yea! something realistic

The only one I've watched so far that's close to this is Scream.

From what I've saw in scenes on youtube, the next ones are not the same killers from the first so I don't think u gonna find sumthin unrealistic.

It's easy to find if ya look hard enough. Hope it helps.

@Static Stella

August Underground is gorey. Skinamarink is very atmospheric. Lake Mungo has a really good concept. Anne Hathaway Be My Cat is so weird. For a modern rec, the newest Resident Evil movie is very well done with jumpscares.

yeah, I've seen August Underground

@static.stella Did you like it?

it was unsettling but i think it was just poorly filmed and quite boring. it did feel realistic though

The House that Jack Built (2018) and Martyrs (2008) will leave a foul taste in your mouth for days to come.

Edit: Event Horizon (1997) deserves to be mentioned as well.

@Manul Event Horizon scared the shit out of me as a kid 😅

Life is a mystery. Explore it while you can.

Ginger Snaps, if you like movies like Jennifer's body or any body-horror films really. It's not very scary but it's more disturbing.

Me personally I really enjoy The thing, and My bloody valentine. They are more slashers but still have a bit of a thrill sense to them and I think you would like them. :)

Rec (2007) is a really cool found footage movie and has a really interesting story! I don't wanna spoil anything but if you like a little blood and gore, its a fun movie

kairo/pulse by kiyoshi kurosawa. really only one "scary" scene, but it is unmatched in this feeling of existential dread and tension. it will leave you hollowed out and empty
