How are you supposed to know if you're media illiterate

I'm unsure of how good my own media literacy is and i can't find anything that explains the signs of media illiteracy, only things that explain the negative impacts. Im doubting i have good media literacy because i miss a lot of things when watching stuff and in both media and real life, i miss understand people's intentions and the implications behind what they say. But i don't want to say that I 100% am media illiterate because i feel like there's probably a middle ground. Also a lot of what i miss is romantic subtext like (horimiya spoiler) i got confused when i found out remi and sengoku were dating because i don't ever remember that happening..

I'd like a way to test somehow 

its sorta a lot of things, like picking up on all kinds of subtext and implications and stuff. 

Honesty even though it can lead into crazy fan terotory if you want to get better at media literacy, reading up on fan theories from ur fandoms is a good place to start. checking for videos on yt is also pretty good. 

its pretty hard to catch if that is the case also bc neurodivergent people can miss stuff aswell.
