Say everyone in the world is shown a red button and a blue button and must choose one.
If more than 50% of people pick red, only the people who choose the red button will survive. Anyone who picked blue is dead.
However if more than 50% of the population chooses the blue button, everyone survives regardless of which button they chose.
Which button are you choosing and why?
since individualism has been so deeply drilled into us by the system, making people think, 'well, who cares if the rest die? What if the ones dying are criminals?'
I think I'd push the red button. Based on that logic, most people would likely survive, thinking that others aren't worth the trouble or are just faking solidarity or smth like that
