Hihi!! Sooo I'm writing an article for a website called HerCampus about the rise of myspace revival sites (such as this oneeee) and other places like Neocities, and one of the aspects that I really want to focus on is like the ability to be able to customize literally everything on your profile, something that basically all other socia media sites lack. So I wanted to ask what is it about having the option to customize your profile to ur heart's content that is ya'lls favorite?? Idk if i like worded the question right BUT i really wanted to get ya'lls opinion on this seeing that it's a topic that Im rlly passionate aboutjejeje
None of it because writing CSS (already a pain in the ass to begin with) for messy HTML that you do not control is an absolute nightmare and I am lazy
i love how the limitations of a preexisting HTML document to work off of challenge my problem solving skills with CSS! even though i have experience making my own sites, i really feel like i learn the most when i'm working around someone else's code. everyone has their own way of solving problems and they won't always be compatible with yours, so you really have to think outside the box when customizing your profile! i think it's also good experience for potentially working with other people in the future, which is likely if you're dedicated to web development. so i guess that's what i like about it as someone who regularly works with CSS. :)
