guys I feel like im going insane and have been going insane for years. I AM A LESBIAN. and everyone around me seems to think im straight and I have no idea how to tell my parents because I don't want anything to change. And im pretty much my mums only chance at having grandkids and I don't think she understands the fact I can still have a baby with a woman just not the traditional way??? UGH someone help im dying


ALSO WHY IS IT IMPOSSIBLE to tell if a girl is a gay or not??? I CANT FIND ANYONE :((((((((

So, if you think they would be homophobic or dangerous to come out, I would wait.....BUT if they are Allies and have a sense of humor, you could  hide in the closet and when she opens it, you can jump out with rainbow facepaint on and yell "I'm gay!" Otherwise you can just sit down and calmly talk to her. Be sure either of those options to follow up after with any questions she has and reassure her ways you can give her grandkids (even if you don't want kids, still tell her so she gets the point) only come put when you are ready to and you know you'll be in a safe situation and a supportive situation!


Also as someone who is bisexual, I have the same problem to tell if a girl is gay or not. Lmk if you figure it out, I could use the info.

Wait I don't think I could've got a better response lol. The closet idea is amazing and made me giggle. I have NO idea if they are homophobic or allies so im nervous AHAH I wanna tell them soonish but don't wanna give up my sleepovers with my 'friends' ;) LMAO 


I will lyk when I find out how to tell if a girl is gay or not, unfortunately I don't think its going to be soon AHAH

Honestly, it depends on how you think your parents would react. If they watch Fox News and stuff maybe wait until you're a legal adult and have your own source of income to come out. If your mom is like mine and says that if she were a boy she'd be a twink, I think you'd be fine.

You have to start small. Be like, "Hey, there's this newish pop artist called Chappell Roan". "Oh, we should totally watch RuPaul Drag Race sometimes because it is my new fave". "Hey mom, I am thinking of getting a Subaru". And then you can gauge things according based off of reaction
