Honestly i loved seeing a person i could empathize with as a main character. from start till end he was so normal n goofy. Probably i would scream at the parts he screamed throughout the movie too if i were in that situation. Instead of seeing leon or alice or whatever doing insane batsh*t stuff i liked seeing this much better. (i still love the games tho)
I really liked it... it was really pointless but a fun movie, I agree that it was cool seeing a regular guy in this situation.

i thought it was pretty good, a few more jump-scare moments than i was expecting but i think they added to the fun of watching it overall
