What is the Most Effective Way of Letting Someone Go?

Back to Help & Advice

I kind of have intrusive thoughts.

Like memories are this forceful montage in my head I can never really turn off.

But I want maybe a good routine or affirmation or something to get me over and ready to let people go without my brain totally panicking and just really bad attachment issues, guys.

So far it's just two people 1. who interfered when my 8 year relationship was at it's weakest point and 2. I recruited the other to scrub 1's memories off me.

But now, I keep bothering 2 incessantly because I can't let anyone go.

I even send 1 the occasional email to reconnect.

And 2 is a broken twat and won't just ghost me like all the fine folks before them.

I mean, I can be as cringe as ever or as flirty, or obsessive as possible and they will give absolutely the same amount of effort the same amount of distance. The same amount no matter what I text them. It's fucking spooky.

But the times we hung out I felt like they were good and I want to Eternal Sunshine it but can't. So?

What's the routine. and if it's exercise and time, I am so fucked.
