So I joined a writing club a while back.
Not because I had a particular passion for reading or writing, but because I felt like I desperately lacked a way to express myself creatively.
And I have been happier ever since!
So we are all writing a book.
And I got my plot down!
And it's really cool and amazing and fun and adventorous and amazing and cool and fun!
And stuff like that!
But due to my lack of passion for reading, I feel like I've been falling behind the others by a lot.
They are all way more interested in the stories our teacher tells us, seem to do every assignment we are given better than me, and even though our teacher tells me I am above them in my writing capabilities in many ways, I'm guessing due to my book idea being more original, I feel like I am miles behind everyone and am the odd one out.
I asked to leave, but I can't, so now I'm stuck as the black sheep! Hooray!
I tried to get feedback from my mom, a VERY avid reader, but all her advice was laser-focused on World Building, and while I cannot deny that it helped, my story is mainly character and action focused.
And now, the time has come!
Soon, I will be presenting the prologue to my book to prove that I am NOT the odd one out and in fact very compitant in writing!
So, I am asking all of you:
Do any of you have any advice on character and scene writing! Anything goes, I'm basically a complete noob, just give me anything and it'll be helpful, trust!
I would be VERY thankful!
Love you (unplatonically) <3
