I rlly wanna move away when i graduate. I’ve always been one to explore and wanna meet new people and see new things. However I’m very worried abt leaving behind my friends and family and also financial/housing stability. Im not sure yet if I wanna go to uni or pursue a career that requires a technical license so a big point is housing as well as starting over.

I've moved 3 times to attend universities, getting farther away from home each time (undergrad one state away, MA and now PhD halfway across the country).
Scholarships and financial aid packages are important, it takes a bit of research, but you can figure out the costs of things like housing and meal plans at the university fairly easily. There are often on-campus job opportunities too.
Depending how far you go, or what your/your family's income looks like, visits home over holidays and breaks are easy ways to stay connected. And sometimes university housing over the summer can be expensive, so it's kinda like a vacation to go home or back to school if you're in dorms during the semester and not renting a place for a full year.
I'd think about what weather you prefer (some people don't like harsh winters or hot weather, even the kinds of natural disasters that impact a place might be important to think about).
I feel like so many people in college are "starting over," at least at the schools I've been to, so you'll hopefully be able to find community in that.

i went out of state for a year for college, i think it’s a great experience overall and it gives you room to discover who you are without worrying about familial pressure. i do recommend looking into costs like the person above mentioned: take advantage of the financial aid and scholarships you can get, try to get a job on campus if possible to cut down on commuting costs. depending on how far you go, it might not be feasible to go back every single break, but you can always call and face time! i’d consider taking amtrak too instead of flying and compare those prices when going back.

Haven't even applied yet (doing a gap year currently) but when I do my plan is either to go to the other side of the country or just abroad all together. The first one is more likely though considering that even with the ridiculously high cost of living it's still cheaper since we don't have term fees.
But I do know that I want to move abroad at some point in my life, even if that has to be after university (if I even decide to go, not sure yet)
