Horror isn’t horror anymore. It’s cheap gross tatics that make you sick. That’s not horror, that’s fraud
Horror exists, at a primitive level, to create a feeling of unease in the viewer. I'm sure the concept of stitching cadavers together in an experiment to rejuvenate dead tissue was a ghastly enough concept in the 1800's that it made some early readers of "Frankenstein" sick. Just as well, "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" caused widespread panic when it released 52 years ago. There were entire theaters that walked out in protest, cops shut down screenings, people running out of cinemas screaming and vomiting. It stands today as one of the most iconic films of the 20th Century. All the bones in the movie were real too. Food for thought.
