I think being able to choose who sees your blogs might be nice. The settings could be private, friends only and everyone.

Friends only blog would be a bulletin, right?
@Def3ct i feel like that very much depends more than being a general sentiment among people, considering that some people consider blogs distinct from bulletins by its longer length, extended thoughts, sometimes by its formality too. that is mainly based on what posting a blog vs bulletin means for yourself and/or others, but generally blogs are better for long form writing than bulletins. and sometimes you want your long form writing only for friends, but a bulletin may be too overwhelming or less casual for that

I guess, but I noticed that other platforms have options to make your blogs visible to friends or favourites only. I just thought that would be a feature some people would like.

yes, I was just going to suggest this... having a public profile but being able to make blogs friends only (without disappearing like bulletins) would be very useful.
Fair enough, I have implemented this. Blogs now have privacy options that you can select before posting it. Everyone, Friends Only, and Private. (:
