shitty kickflips is pretty good methinks

any trouble is a great band if you like late 70s - early 80s music. some songs that I really enjoy by them are foolish pride, honolulu, and get you off the hook :)
I'd probably suggest Rollins band, it was henry rollins' band after black flag and their stuff was really good. I don't think they ever got as huge as black flag did but i know one of their songs liar got big and that was it :( but as for a REALLY underrated artist (at least imo) is 18 carat affair, he makes really nice vaporwave.
i made a whole blog about that, so i'll just link it here, if i can recommend any band in that list, it'd be Kittens or Gallows
another obscure band i feel is worth mentioning is Soul Coughing, they aren't THAT obscure comparatively but they're still a band you kind of have to be "in the know" to know about, only three albums but each one of them is amazing, plus they have a ton of b-sides and rarities out there that are about as good as the stuff on their albums
best fwends is awesome. my pitch to people younger than me is that they kinda did the 100 gecs things but 10+ years before 100 gecs got together, though they only have one real album. i can't not smile when i listen to them though.
i'm pretty sure XBXRX is kind of popular? at least if you're an alt-rocker and you happen to be on rym, but i have a heavy affinity for their first record "love songs for the blind." the later stuff is probably okay but it's wild that such awesome punk got made by a group of like 14-16 year olds.
there's this dude kkrusty who made a super dope record back in 2008, "a change could do us some good." it's overly edited amen breaks on top of sad chiptuney melodies. i really don't care for homestuck but i've heard some of the music from it and i think if one likes some of the songs from that they might enjoy "good".
he's not technically "underrated" but i do think more people should listen to gotye's stuff that isn't "somebody that i used to know". i'm not saying it isn't a good tune but "state of the art" is awesome and i really like "thanks for your time." the music video for that one is trippy (though you have to check out vimeo for a non-potato quality version).
Micheal Motorcycle Has so many good songs albums he consitently puts out music and he tackles a whole bunch of genres while keeping a consistent theme.

I never see fans of the band Gi-ddyː, but i wish I did, their singer has a great voice
