@nikobellic

i think i frequently experience smth similar to your dream, but irl

maybe my experiencie is kinda stupid, but whenever i turn my head too fast or im alone/nervous i see for a instant figures of people who aren't there

When I was younger, I used to have this recurring dream in which I was in this little sorta box floating in a void that was split into 4 even rooms. I only very vaguely remember two of the rooms, but the other two were clearer. One room was a kitchen with a window (to the void), but nobody was in it. The other (most vivid) room had a bunch of adults in it who, from what I remember, were kinda standing around talking, maybe drinking. Sorta a vague party vibe. In the same room there was this little toy table, one of those ones with a bunch of metal rails that you can slide beads along (I hope ykwim). I would be in this room, playing with that, then I would get bitten by (I believe) a goose, which sounds kinda funny now, but at the time seemed pretty scary, and after being bitten, I would be scared and start crying, but none of the adults would pay any attention to me, then after a bit I would wake up.
Not really sure where it came from because I was definitely not ignored as a child, but maybe it was just a big fear for me, so it manifested as a dream.

@Tenseqrity

you have a great memory! i barely remind mines and as times passes nothing remains but the awareness of having had them. i like your interpretation, i have always felt that dreams are the subconscious trying to tell you something

your experience kinda reminds me of lsd dream... great game btw.

@nikobellic

it's always best to try stay calm, in times like that i always try to distract myself by doing or watching something i enjoy

One of the very few dreams i had was a white room with a receptionist who refused to let me get in (idk where) and made me wait for what felt like the entire 8 hours of my sleep, he looked like Alfred from Batman, he was very mean :(

@Somedeadpoet

thats the type of dream that would make me wake up confused xhshsjsn

@kaixa i woke up with deep hatred for some comic character’s butler lmaooo

I have some written down so here are the highlights:

For context, we have this tradition of final year high school students dressing up in costumes and getting on top of trucks to tour all the local schools to throw candy at the kids, it's called penkkarit, and in this dream I was having my second ones and for some reason the 3,5year group I was in for the last six months of hs met up in my middle school homeroom? And I was dressed up as Sebastian Bach (if I hadn't graduated already me and my friend would've probably been Freddie Mercury and Roger Taylor in the I Want to Break Free mv)

Me and my best friend of nine years (who I hadn't spoken to in years at that point) went sledding from his house to a place that you definitely wouldn't survive sledding in, in the winter the direction we were sledding to is basically a wall and goes straight up so if you want to take that shortcut home from school it's similar to mountain climbing, and when we got back to his house to hang out with his brother I learned that they have these huge dogs that apparently hated me

I was in London visiting an online friend and somehow got home from there by train without having to switch them which couldn't be further from the truth and as we said goodbye that friend of mine said that we were "both going to eat raw minced meat soup".... I have no idea what this person looks like or sounds like and I'm not sure if they even were from the UK

And lastly I used to have this recurring dream like between 6th and 7th grade where I was in my primary school yard with a friend of mine who was a year younger than me just chatting and (I'm pretty sure these were the same dreams, it's been years since I last had it) suddenly I just pumped my feet like you would while coming up to the water surface while diving and I could fly. Also another recurring dream where my grandparents' house is inside some old factory building turned museum in New York I'd guess as like this really big mansion, when in reality it's a normal sized rintamamiestalo in the countryside, and I have to solve some mystery in there which includes ghosts. I should write that one down if I ever have it a third time

@brightlightislonggone

thanks for your sharings!!! i definitely hear more about the last one...!! first one was kinda funny and i think ive had similar experiences to the third one.

I think one of the scariest/most ominous dreams I've ever had was that the Apocalypse was happening. I don't know if you're familiar with the concept of the Rapture from the Christian faith, but I dreamed that people were being zapped up to heaven, the angels were sounding the trumpets, and the sky was blood red. The hymn "Soon And Very Soon" was playing in the background as well. There was destruction everywhere and I had this overwhelming dread that I had been left behind. I had already left Christianity when I had this dream so I felt really conflicted when I woke up lol. Probably some religious trauma my brain was trying to deal with, idk. Scary stuff.

@indighost

Ooohh i heard about the concept of Rapture before but i never realized it has a name. My religion teacher in elementary school used to tell us about Rapture with something like the end of the times, my school always tried to force religion on the students. I think thats why i never liked religion when i was little.

i had a really weird dream last night actually. i was stuck in this hospital full of people and they were trying to cure us of something. they wouldn't really tell us, but slowly the people around me were getting less and less talkative and more zombified. they just wouldn't talk at all. the slogan of the whole hospital was "you matter." they said it all the time. all the nurses would just keep saying "remember: you matter."

so eventually i found a way to bust out of there. i hear this insanely distorted voice say that slogan again, but much louder than i had heard it the whole dream. i turned around and the entire hospital completely changed. the windows were full of eyes that followed me wherever i moved. a super long chain of tongues rolled out of the door. the actual building came to life like, monster house style.

i wrote this dream down when i woke up so i have exactly what the "building" said to me. it said: "come back to us. don't leave us. we just want to remind you that you matter. you matter. we want...your matter. you want youmatter."

it turned out that the hospital slogan was actually not a slogan at all. they were taking people and turning them into these complete zombies to harvest them for product. for "yoummatter."

i also have a lot of dreams about ghosts standing at the edge of my bed and showing me how they died before disappearing. my dreams are very weird. last night's just hit real weird

@draven demon

that sounds really scary! The movie Akira has scenes and situation like you had in your dream, especially the hallucinations and mutations that Tetsuo suffers during the film.

This dream happened years ago but I was in Bali with my friends (it was weird knowing I was in Bali since I have never been there but somehow I just knew). I remember the water being light blue and just chilling underneath on one of those floating bungalows not too far from the beach.

Then the dream switches up and I see an image of a hooded woman and next thing I know I suddenly spawn in a hotel room trying to hide from her. Me and my friends were all huddled up in bed trying to hide from her since she is evil and it didn't help that we could hear her cackling from outside the window too. One detail I won't ever forget is one of my friends getting all the blanket for himself which is something he'd do lmao.

Eventually, the hooded woman comes inside the room and kills all of us one by one. I don't remember how exactly but I remember it playing it like a Mortal Kombat fatality if it makes sense lmao.

@garlicrice

I had a dream where my family was being stalked by an electric fan and it killed me by putting its hands on my throat. I woke up with the feelings of hands on my throat....why an electric fan...idk🫩

that sounds like an EVIL electric fan

I have A LOT of strange dreams, i have a few written down, so I might be back to this thread later.

One of my strangest dreams of all time was a few months back, while I was still in university. I was dreaming about going through my life as ordinary in my family home, only to find a dead skinned human body laying face down just by our back sliding door. It wasn't posed, definitely a 30-something year old man, uninteresting in appearance other than a little chubby. He was sliced cleanly in half along the coronal plane all the way down. It wasn't really bloody, but I could tell the halves were mismatched/slightly ajar? (img for reference)

It was really startling to see, but none of my family living there would acknowledge it, indirectly or when I would mention it. I mentioned calling someone to take care of it, they'd say "Oh yeah sure, I'll get on that". The dream went into a timelapse over the weekend of it just sitting there, all of us making efforts to walk around or avoid touching it. It didn't degrade over the span of the timelapse either.

I woke up before the timelapse was over, and I never really got any explanation for it. This dream stood out as weird because normally my dreams aren't this graphic in content.

Edit: I checked my message logs, and it turns out I had this dream exactly one year ago today
