Ten Needles by Akutagawa Ryunosuke (from the Short Story Collection) really made me reflect deeply on myself, including my surroundings and the people I surround myself with. It's good writing from the blunder of his thoughts. 

The Early Cases of Akechi Kogoro by Ranpo Edogawa certainly has me on the edge of my seat. Just... WHAT THE FUCK?! It's so good and it makes me feel thrilled! Read his stories if you like mysteries and thrill! 

The Dancing Girl by Ogai Mori is a personal favorite of mine. I have reread it a countless of times and it still breaks my heart to know that sometimes we can't like two things at the same time, and that we always have to choose our priority, but unfortunately, the main character's decision was not made by his own volition, yet his friend. 

Farewell by Doppo Kunikida (from the Selected Stories of Kunikida Doppo) is a story that I could relate to. Haha! He describes his emotions so vividly and I honestly end up crying after reading this. NEVER AGAIN.
