• i love this french autor called Eric Emmanuel Schmitt, i love all of his books in general and especially his current saga "La traversée des temps" : the life of Noam (Noe) from the age of hunter-gatherer until our present and every books are about a period of history, the autor is still working on the currents ones (there is 5 released on 8 planned), i recommend it's so incredible and i'm learning so much from these books

• recently my brother suggested me "Babel" from R.F. Kuang that i really liked and i recommend : talking about the colonialism in 1700s and industrial revolution mixed with languages, hard to make a resume like this without spoiling too much, i really didn't expect the turn the book would take but it was honestly incredible, inspiring and super interesting

• also you should really check out the books of Marcel Pagnol (yes a french shit again sorry) it's a guy that talk about his chilhood in the south of france, at the end of 1800s, beggining of 1900s and its so lovely and interesting, it really made me travel to his life
