I_Love_Movies

I like a lot of music. I like soft stuff like Simon & Garfunkel (I nearly have all their albums) and Marvin Gaye, but I also like some hard stuff like I don't mind Slipknot but I do really like Femtanyl (coincidence, no?) and I like Siouxsie and the Banshees as well as other music from the UK like ofc the Beatles but I do also like some of the older country music like Johnny Cash and Pasty Cline, but I'm not rlly die hard fans of any of these artists my taste is just very all over the place and you'd be reading this all day about all the music I like soooo yeah :p

Absolutely loved the Simpsons growing up (still do) along with the early seasons of family guy and South Park (still do) but am also in the middle of watching bojack and the sopranos (both absolutely brilliant shows, especially the sopranos). 

I've been watching a bit of Siskel & Ebert as of late, who are two guys who talk about films, though I also do like Brooklyn Nine-Nine (haven't watched all of it tho) and I rlly like widows peak but the ending was like rlly shit (no spoilers tho). 

I also like a lot of other animated shows, mainly like king of the hill, mission Hill, clone high (season 1 only tho), I don't mind a bit of spongebob, American dad is an absolute gem and so is aqua teen hunger force, brilliant show man just a really damn funny show. 

I don't read as much as I wish I did, but I have read a few key books in my life. 

In year 9, we were set to read two books: George Orwells animal farm and John Steinbecks Of Mice and Men and it was the only instance I read two books voluntarily without pictures. Animal farm still holds up as an allegory for the USSR in WWII and Of Mice and Men perfectly encapsulates the desperation of the working class during the Great Depression. 

During year 11, after I went to see a screening of a stage production of Six, I went into a charity shop and I saw a 1974 print of Harper Lees To Kill a Mockingbird. I managed to read the whole thing across three weeks and I absolutely loved it. I think that the book perfectly showcases the type of community and the time set perfectly in the setting of 1930-40's Alabama, a time of uncertainty for America as a whole, but also a weird time for interracial relations, as it's set post Emancipation Proclamation, but also pre-Truman civil rights reforms, therefore this is still a lot of racism in the air, although not with Atticus Finch, who is a very rational man who sees whites and blacks not as separate but as equal, and I think everyone can learn and apply that lesson to other people as well, but he teaches this to the protagonist Scout, which makes the message come across far more effectively to the reader but the book takes a lot of cues from Lee's childhood

My grandfather was one of the most prominent male figures in my life. No matter what, he was always there for me to talk to and always there for me to keep accompany. He wasn't a war hero, he wasn't a rich man and not always a kind man, but he saw me through thick and thin, and I still miss him bc he taught me guitar and piano and I have a lot of great memories with him over in Ireland and I would give anything to see him again :'(

My uncle Zach was a man I didn't get a long well during my childhood, but after my grandad passed away, me and him started to spend a lot more time with each other. We'd go see his parents, we'd watch films together and we'd just be enjoying each other's company. My best memory with him tho is when we went to go see the reze arc (in imax ((it was TOTALLY EPIC)) and he said to me that he couldn't wait until I came back over to see a film like that again. Next time I went back to Ireland, he was in intensive care, and a few months later, he died of swelling and a poor heart. I miss him bc I wish I got to connect with him more

I absolutely LOVE the GTA series, Ive beat GTA IV 3 times and I'm on my fourth playthrough, I've played through Eflc, 3, vice city, san Andreas, Vice city & liberty city stories and Chinatown wars and by God they're all great games (I've played five, it's good but not really great imo) 

Red Dead Redemption 1 and undead nightmare are fantastic games, I absolutely love them to bits. Tho I did play rdrd2, I didn't really grasp with it as much as I wanted to bc I think the first game just moves far quicker and I think is a better game because of it.
