For decades, the disappearance of the Birklin family has remained buried beneath incomplete reports, contradictory witness statements, and missing evidence. While researching abandoned case files from Montana, I came across a damaged archive containing photographs, ranger reports, and what appears to be an audio recording from the night the family vanished.
Most of the original material has deteriorated beyond recovery, but enough remains to reconstruct the events that took place in Red Root Forest during the summer of 1963.
Whether this footage represents an accurate record of the investigation or something that was never meant to be preserved is left to the viewer to decide.
