Homogeneity of the niche internet
We are on grounds on the internet not often visited so it makes sense that many of us think the same and act the same but there is, to a certain degree, a tiredness that comes with LISTENING to a bunch of WHINY BABIES typing away at their blog.
Maybe it's ironic that I'm complaining about weak-willed wussies complaining all the time, but it's more than that - everybody on here and SpaceHey and elsewhere within the same niche carries the same SICKENINGLY milk-toast excuse of a philosophy when in actuality, many on this website are spineless and unwilling to change their viewpoints. Take for example the political leanings of saaaayyyy 90% of this website. It's no secret by now, everybody here is part of the same political faction and this would be fine had this not been an alternative to mainstream media which is much more "nuanced". Nuance is loosely used because your algorithm will trap you into a dungeon of echoed maxims and opinions but this applies to both sides. Here on Friend Rewind, there is no "right wing" pipeline - all that's left is the left.
Do not make the mistake of assuming this is a disgruntled right winger whining - in terms of politics I am uneducated. Besides, politics here definitely lean more American, and I am a British man. This doesn't negate the weight of my words. Maybe it's because the right usually lean older and would rather use Facebook instead of some niche, unknown website in the back alleys of the web, but even the youth to the right of Biden won't rear their heads here. I can't help but wonder, are alternating political factions scared to come here? I never had such issues because I'm not here on a nostalgia trip nor am I here to masquerade, I'm here because I have a strong liking towards customisability, choice, and privacy - all, or at least some of which are awarded to me by sites like SpaceHey or Friend Rewind.
Weak.
Furthermore, people are just weak. Plain as day. This is a general issue but people here too are so enigmatically miserable that I wonder if this website was an experiment to bring out the mentally ill.
