I think a lot of the kids in my job ready class assume I'm stupid, or some kind of stupid.
I don't really do tasks, so maybe they think less of me as stupid and more of me as a lazy classmate, but I'm not lazy, I'm just anxious I'll fuck something up in front of everyone, like if I thread a pipe wrong then we have to find a new one to cut and re-thread and they'll all grumble about it.
I just don't want to busy up their already busy situations, either. My teacher had us do inventory but when he told me to tell them about specific things I noticed they all were talking so I didn't want to intrude or anything.
It doesn't really help that they probably assume talking to me is no different from talking to a metal rod.. I feel kind of bad because I don't respond to them and if I do it's some kind of silent gesture but it's also tough to talk when I'm the one outcast in the class.
I have noticed a couple people do ask me a question every now and then, sometimes its even something about myself like which school I go to or something.
I think when people realize they can just tell me what to do it'll all smooth out, I'd much rather just be told to hold something or tighten something and be the quiet go-fer than be the ghost.
