25 years

its been 25 years since 9/11. its so horrifying to think about. its been 25 years since the entirety of america genuinely just stopped for a while. both of the buildings collapsed under their own weight. it took the south tower 12 seconds to collapse. twelve. imagine just standing and watching the buildings, not realising the towers are about to collapse under their own weight, then all of a sudden a massive cloud of smoke is flying right towards you. 

like i have no words, watching footage of the planes crashing, the towers collapsing and peopels reactions cant even show how hellish new york mustve been that day. people genuinely were ripped apart by those planes. 

Not even to mention the pentagon and the field. i mean the field crash was meant to be the white house, from what i know, but thankfully it wasnt. 

i mean like the towers fully collapsed, these two gigantic towers just collapsed in the matter of seconds. thousands of innocent people (and maybe a few deserving people) were killed that day, and the days to follow it. not just from the impact, but from the amount of smoke just blown through the city. 

even just to see photography or footage from the day, its just horrifying. so many people just plummeted from the building because it was their only option, instead of waiting for the firefighters who were never going to get to them.

its just hard to fathom really, like this is a real thing that really happened and possibly upheaved millions of peoples lives. so many people lost their parents, children, relatives, friends and family in general.
