8/10/26 late summer is a weird feeling

late summer (mostly august) doesn't feel real sometimes. the days blend into each other, it's too hot to go outside, and there's a horrible feeling in my stomach at the thought of the upcoming school year. i go skateboarding in the morning as the sun rises, before it gets too hot. i spend the rest of the day in my room with a cooling fan facing directly at me. it becomes a challenge to find things to do and i end up scrolling reels for hours. ╮（╯＿╰）╭ 

at one point, the boredom really got to me and i randomly decided to cut my hair short (RIP my emo fringe). i did pretty well im ngl so now i've got a different hairstyle, at least a bit of a change in these neverending hot days. it feels like every day i end up in the group chat begging someone to hang out because im JUST SO BORED. the evening is the only time i can see friends because theres like- zero indoor activities in this town that don't cost a million dollars. 

everyone else is on vacation or going to lakes or doing SOMETHING and i feel like i'm just. here.
