my name is Elliot. I use he/him/his pronouns. I am male. I have always been male. I will always be male. so WHY can't you see that? why can't you see that I break my back just to pass in public, which is a stupid concept in the first place, so why is it so fucking hard to see me as WHAT I AM.

I am not my deadname, and you have no right to call me my deadname when I've been going my Elliot for over two years and have my name legally written down as such. It's not a preferred name, it's my LEGAL name. it's the name on my government papers. so call me by my goddamn name.

I'm allowed to be angry with you when you call me by my deadname in front of my entire class and when I correct you, you don't correct yourself. I'm allowed to dislike you for being transphobic in a school where a pretty decent amount of students are trans themselves. It's not that fucking hard to respect a person's name and pronouns. Fuck you. Fuck you and everyone who thought it'd be okay to do what you do, and have been doing for as long as I've been a fucking high schooler.

You can break me down again and again, invalidate me and screw me over as much as you like and expect me to back down but every single time I will bite back. I will sink my teeth into your skin and let you bleed and watch as your blood drips onto the ground and trails behind you, wait until the wolves sniff you out and hunt you down and smile as you have a reminder burned into your brain of what you did to me.

I am no pet, so I will not conform to you and allow you to choose my labels, my name, and my life. I am a wild thing, who can take care of himself, who doesn't need someone telling him what to do and how to be.

I tell you again and again that this is my name, these are my pronouns, this is my gender, yet you still fight me on it, you still choose to throw things on me and expect me to just be okay with them because you think I'll tuck my tail and back away against a wall. and you'll do it again and again until I'm nothing but your 'loyal' pet.

You cannot tame a wolf. nor can you tame me. forcing what you want onto me will only backfire. Do not deadname me.
