i will draw stripes upon my face two days in time, i feel my ideas for representation flee as fast as the next. my person is coming home, and we will roam the streets we trick or treated when we were twelve and indulge in the hot chocolate provided by the churches. it'll taste chalky on my tongue but inevitably of home, that may be when my sorrow gets to me. we will hop in the car, drive down the winding street past the place we used to reside within everyday, i will disguise my desire to drive by with the promise of a joke. i may see you on the balcony with the taste of smoke fresh on your lips and lose it all right then, the wall i have built so carefully between us.
maybe i just hope you would tear it down yourself, to prove the worth i hold within your heart. but i am not sure i hold any room within your heart anymore. just know you will always have space in mine, not matter how much i desire you not to.
happy hauntings,
semi-sweet
