I don't know what it is with me just dropping what I want to learn and do. I've always wanted to learn how to draw digitally going as far as to get a drawing tablet but halfway through practicing and learning I just stop randomly, same going for my bass guitar. It's not that I didn't like the process of learning, but as time passes and I eventually return to those interests I just can't help but wonder how far along I would've been if I never stopped...
Another thing worth mentioning is that I had a bit too much free time as I took a gap year (which I regret) so all that free time didn't really translate into consistent practice. But now that I am in a vo-tech my schedule is all over the place but I do plan on getting back into digital arts again hopefully.
In the end I know I can't beat myself up about it. Doing so won't magically recover months spent away from these interests, and I have the power to decide what the next few months look like without needing to make up lost time all at once.
Anyways, don't trade your authenticity for approval. Your authenticity is worth far more than that, so fuck it, let your haters hate. Stay safe y'all!
