A Wonderfully Productive Morning.

Went to work, did all the tasks I needed to do today and more to the point, I have no idea what work I'm going to do next week. I'm the fastest worker in my office, it seems. To the point I have to break up my tasks into even smaller tasks just so I have enough work to do for a week. I focus on what I need to do and I get it done. I don't scroll in between paragraphs, I don't dawdle, I just get things done. I don't even listen to music at work.Β

Considering I had a phone addiction that I've managed to kick after a few years, my past self is astounded at what I can do in a single sitting now. My phone stays at home, I only look at the internet on my laptop and even then, I hardly use it at home anyway. I am a tad unreachable unless you call my little Nokia cellphone these days, but no one likes calling.Β

I am proud of myself. Proud that I've gotten to the point where I can do my work and totally focus at the tasks at hand. I'm proud that I no longer pick up my phone every 15 minutes, proud that I don't even have it in my pocket anymore. If I have time to waste, I pick up a book, I daydream, I blog, IΒ  cuddle my cat or I draw.

It is very hard to kick a screen addiction, I understand. Many people aren't aware they have one since it's simply normalised in modern society. I value my time in the real world and I intend to keep living my little lifestyle, no matter how much people seem to think you can't survive without a device.
