the persistent numbing of this shattered brain
this is my life, why am i so bitter?
you take what you get and sleep it off
will it ever be enough?
his eyes are always dark when he forgets to scoff
stopping the pain while blue dye swirls in the drain
hopeless and numb will it ever stop
