The way I take care of my albums is this, I have 2 Spin Clean units that I use to wash and one to rinse the records. The second removing not only the cleaning solution but also any dirt and grime that the first wash might have missed. Yes, I even wash one's that I just bought. Have you ever seen the dirt that comes off brand new albums?
I also buy poly lined inner sleeves for the records and 4mil thickness outer plastic sleeves for the jackets. If the inners are printed they go back in with the inners, if they are just plain then I pitch them.
Now for the outer sleeves my preference is the 4mil thickness and I also keep the shrink on the albums for an added layer of protection against damage to the jacket unless the shrink is too badly damaged then I pitch it. Now to dispel an old wive's tales about plastic shrink wrap, as I worked in a plastics factory in the record division back in the 80's.
If the shrink is uncut and left in the presence of either to high heat or direct sunlight, yes it will shrink and cause damage to an album cover. Once the shrink has been cut the shrinkage is very minimal to almost non-existent and will not damage the cover. Left to heat or sunlight it will shrink back away from the opening when slit open but doesn't damage the cover and even then the shrinkage is very minimal. So leaving the shrink on will not hurt your albums.
For storage. I keep my albums in the Better Home & Gardens Cube organizers 9 and 12 cubes and have a little over 2000 albums that are in high VG+ to NM conditions. I don't have any albums covers that have ring wear or that have been written on in our collection. I have albums that are 70+ years old that still look like they just came home from the store and just freshly opened.

That's cool, I don't have any vinyl collection or even a record player.
But that looks really cool and it seems you're really doing a great job taking care of these.
Especially you know how to really get the job done since you had a working experience specialized on these things.
Even as a youngster in the 60's I was taught to take care of my albums and working in the record division of the shrink wrapping dept back in the 80's I learned a lot about shrink wrap and the do's and don't with it.
