12:25 in the morning where I'm at and my macbook is flooded with virus shit and I'm like "Oh shit, a mod I downloaded for the sims was a virus, I should see wtf happened" so the dumbass I was decided to delete every single mod of mine thinking that would help, so I lost over 3,000 CC and over 50 mods. Great. Turns out those notifications were scams, and if I pressed "scan device" I would've lost everything. So glad I have a brain and looked up if the website was a scam or not, and turns out it was. Idk how but it was sending me actual notifications like when a holiday comes up or smth. I deleted that shit and it should'nt send me notifications anymore but it's honestly scar. I haven't been on any sort of sketchy website, and I only use certain websites for my sims 4 mods and cc (like patreon, ts4, curseforge, etc.) Anyways, be safe when downloading stuff guys, or just be safe in general, and if you get those alerts, try to do reaserch as much as you can before actually interacting with the website. Anyways, time to go mods/cc shopping for the exact same mods and cc for like the 10th or 11th time now.

Quick tip! If you see a mod from a sketchy site you want to try but not destroy your pc (and if you also have the time), use it in a Virtual Machine! Then if the mod turns out to be a virus, it can wreck the virtual machine, but can't touch your real PC!

A majority of my mods are from creators I can easily find, but sometimes those mods or cc gets taken down, so I can't access them anymore which sucks. I'm in the process of redownloading mods and then tomorrow I'll do some CC shopping for clothes, furniture, and other random things. Thank you tho :)
