I saw a blog that coverd the same topic but i wish being alt was less people, now its js becoming mainstream. Like don't get me wrong i like being complimented rather than stares but at the end of the day i liked looking different. Now its like the whole "i need a goth gf" and its no longer like our own community. Idk maybe i liked being and looking different and being able to show who i was with my clothing but now its becoming so normalized that it feels like im not truely expressing myself. Isn‘t alt like a whole mindset too and not just the way you dress? It is definitely more common today, and on a sidenote those sexualized alts with like the drake interview make me seethe, but even if its getting mainstream just do what you want, yo shouldnt stop liking something just because its getting common, ur lidewally OG and everyone is larp

Alt isn't normal. People try sexualize EVERYTHING. In the 2000s it was "hot Asian lady" now it's "Latina and Goth girl". They know nothing about what alt really means. No alt isn't mainstream or "normal", a lot of weirdos just like to pervert stuff to make it funny.
I don't see "hot Asian lady" being the standard and what the kind of girl many wanted in 2000's.
At least how I see it.

I mean like I would see a lot of clips from the 2000s and I would even go to those dead websites with 2000s comments still there. (Which is amazing) I would see them talking about wanting Asian women. It was weird because nowadays people don't even care about wanting an "Asian chick" anymore

Because from what I see Good Looking Western and Western European/Eastern European Girls was the Top Standard and many guys would like to have back then.

I don't know how to feel though, I don't see it being mainstream like 20 to 23 Years Ago.
But I think it's kinda getting traction especially with younger demographic because of the interest 1990's and 2000's has been getting.
I'm not sure though if 2000's Alt Style is "Mainstream" again but it's getting traction.
