buying cool clothes is so expensive and exhausting because fast fashion has ruined everything… over that, “alt” is becoming a trend, and shops sell said readymade “alt” clothes, stripping away the entire point of alternative fashion
so many girls put on white foundation and the tiniest bit of eyeliner, wear black clothes, straighten their hair and call themselves “goth”, without even understanding the subculture, and say “fuck society” meaninglessly… not to mention that they sexualise gothic people. disgusting.
emo has been reduced to sad people wearing black clothes and listening to rock music. since when??? jokes are understandable, however it’s becoming such a stereotype.
punks are disappearing when we need them the most.
overall, “goths” are becoming sexualised, “emos” are people to be mocked and bullied, “scene” is just screaming music and bright hair, and “punk” is used as a derogatory term. what have we come to?
the very term that meant going against social norms is slowly becoming painfully mainstream.
