It seems like every single choice we make is benefiting Israel or capitalism. And sometimes you don’t even have a choice if you want to participate or not. I don’t have my own finances, like many other minors, to even buy non boycotted items. And no it’s not just food. It’s the food, clothes, every single item of technology, travel, healthcare and banks. Also if you’re a vegan in support of Palestine you need to be on the lookout for alternatives just in case as well. Are we just really fucked over?

Also screw me if I point this shit out, because I’m saying they control the whole world (I’m not, but denying the fact that they are so prevalent in other countries including America is absurd. Once we acknowledge that then this argument of activism being the cover for bigotry will cease.)They genuinely think that by supporting Palestine that we are anti semitic. I think it’s more harmful to allow a genocide to happen in this modern era, because that is actively saying that it’s ok and permissible under certain circumstances (“Bc they are the only democracy in the Middle East!”). This defense is weak and is why hatred towards Arabs in America is so rampant, because we have normalized it because it is sprinkled everywhere in the media emo consume. Netanyahu himself appeared on television in America way before he was even prime minister.

This ultimately highlights why Israel is at the point where they are now, they are a country with heavy colonial backgrounds that happens to be in the Middle East (that wasn’t even the first options, Uganda was also considered before Israel.) which facilitates the development of other western nations. This is why The British backed it so heavily, because they wanted easier access to India! So no it’s defaulting to old anti Jewish rhetoric because it’s not the Jewish people who control the media themselves. It’s the country of ISRAEL, the actions that the government makes and how it backs up Jewish people who support it with many incentives. And unfortunately for the people living in that country, even if they don’t want to, they are contributing to Palestinian oppression because they benefit from colonialism that still exists.
