Another poem thing

Rules

Girls like pink

Boys Like blue

What if that was never true?

Girls like blue

Boys like pink

Who really cares what society thinks?

He likes boys

She likes girls

Looking at each other, they see the world

He likes girls

She likes boys

For their weddings only are people overjoyed

He is white

She is black

There’s clearly something wrong with that

Women speak up

They may get shut down

But eventually word will get around

School is hard

But teenagers are lazy

The stress of life drives them crazy

Girls travel only in packs

Boys slowly follow in their tracks

Immigrants family’s are being torn apart

So it makes me think we have no heart.

I know I know

I’m only nineteen

But I feel this country needs not be so mean

This country is made of immigrants from all over the world

And it really shouldn’t matter if you’re a boy or a girl

It shouldn’t matter who you love or if you change

So long as your heart is in a good place

And yes I know I’m only a young girl who knows so little of what’s real and

What’s not

After all I’m on my phone all day

What could I possibly know?

I don’t much, but I do know this

The world is changing

And it won’t give a shit

If you’re gay, straight, boy or girl, black or white

Because in the end humans are humans.
