Anyone else on Abilify + an antidepressant like Effexor? I just got put on these by my psychiatrist and they make me so sleepy. The Effexor is supposed to cancel out the drowsiness from the Abilify but I feel worse than being depressed, I feel sedated.ย

That's normal at the beginning, especially if you're not used to it, it's also possible that the doses are too high (But it's too early to say if you've just started your treatment). Psychiatrists have a bad habit of being a bit too vague about the side effects/potential of their medications :) (not a big fan of them) take care of yourself and if it lasts for several weeks, there's a problem with the dosage.ย
