ao3 being DOWN?!?!?!

of course as SOON as i want to read and MAYBE write a fic on ao3 i get the news that it is DOWN FOR A COUPLE WEEKS??? efrihbrejifijosk no bro ToT 

ik im late (i got this news like. 2 days ago) but something else that pmo is apparently someone made a copycat ao3 site and just. stole people's fics??? wtf?? thats just bullshit??

and i heard a rumor that they're trying to make people pay to use it. if thats true than thats actually such a shitty thing to do. like you shouldnt be able to profit off of things you STOLE. 

thats like walking into a free art gallery and stealing everything, then making ur own art gallery with all those stolen artworks and making people pay to come in. ARE WE FR??

now im kinda scared to post anything on there bc what if it gets stolen?? like im already paranoid abt people stealing my art on yt so what will i do if they steal my writing? thats even harder to prove that its mine bc at least with art i have speedpaints and watermarks. with writing all i got is a google doc that i cant prove i didnt just copy paste ToT bruh.

if yk all the info abt whats going on PLEASE tell me bro i get all my news from threads and i dont think thats gonna work out for me in the long run
