This poem is for you
yes you, in the blue!
I rhyme and i chime and i do it all for for you
not him, or her, nor he or she, but you, yes you, oh it’s true, only you!
Yeah you swim and you shine and you twinkle in my view
I glance and i embrace and i sweat and i act
Yeah nothing but a no good sinful fact
We all have these feelings of things that we shouldn’t
But it’s all in good fun and it’s my life i’m livin’
So was it really for you?
This poem if it wasn’t obvious
Or was it all just for me. God, I wish i was pious
Does it even really matter who it benefited the most
We will return to the earth, dance and frolic as a ghost
This type of thinking will keep me afloat
“But what will you utterly wonder?” I ponder asunder
For floating, keeping my ahead above is simply survival
Im torn apart and can’t breathe as i sink into this gray fog
So instead of trying to float i’ll just choose you
For if i follow your light maybe ill produce my own
Yet I sink like a stone
For just choosing you would not fix or save me—no i need to atone
To swim is to try
And try i must for i am no stone so ill try till i fly like an eagle
Since eagles can fly and so can you, my true blue hue.
