What is the most selling music genre currently? When you produce music, which genre is usually most successful?
rn the biggest growers (in my sphere at least) are hardcore and subgrenres
SPECIFICALLY
hardtekk, phonk, funk, and breakcore
these four are fucking exploding rn and are no-brainers for indie producers to target
i run 3 accounts. one does hardtekk and breakcore, one does phonk, and one does metal
the hardtekk one is the biggest grower rn

On average, how long does it take for an artist to build a decent career?
oh hell that depends on so many bs factors its hard to give an answer
overall tho in my niche
from starting to making a proper living is a 2 - 3 year wait
and thats LOCKING IN and studying social media algorithms and such
ive only met a handful of people (ignoring myself... heh) that have gone the full length. they'll blow up a few times and leave when it's not consistent. it's a test in persistence.
theres this one 14yr old kid that managed to make this his job so honestly i think anyone could do it if they just studied and locked in
