What I mean by that is when you’re lonely (like me) and somehow self hatred comes into play, you really don’t want to hang out with friends or family because you worry you might be a burden to others or causing problems simply by just existing. But then when you’re home alone with nothing but your thoughts for company, you can’t help but think “why didn’t they invite me?”, “I should’ve gone with them,” etc. And so you go out with friends to hang out at an ice cream shop or something when suddenly the intrusive thoughts sneak in, and then you’re trapped in a vicious cycle again and again.
