Being Myself on The Internet (Without Doxxing Myself)

I tried making myself a layout but I'm having trouble fulfilling my true artist's vision so my profile will remain basic until I bother looking at it again.

About two years ago I made a secret blog on tumblr so I could post about age regression, I really wanted to post about how to create your own toys and activity ideas, since I felt (and still firmly believe) that the age regression community emphasizes purchases and tangible items instead of behavior and using what you already have to accommodate your headspace needs. (I'm trying really hard not to let out all my critics of the age regression community right now,,, I have a lot of thoughts that need to be another post.)

That blog failed, hard. I had so many ideas that I got overwhelmed and ended up sharing none of them. Additionally, I wanted to create tutorials for people with no crafting experience which proved to be difficult as an experienced maker, I don't really know how much the average person knows, so I couldn't tell if I was making something too difficult or so deatailed it became convoluted.

I also had a hard time interacting with anyone, I refused to like, reblog, or comment on anything that was not related to age regression because the coping mechanism is extremely stigmatized and an age regression blog interacting with someone who isn't a part of the community is a recipe for getting blocked. I don't mind the idea of being blocked, the problem is I don't want to be barred from the content I love because I decided to be cringe on main.

What really prevented me from posting and interacting was the thought of my friends finding out. I know for a fact one of my closest friends has Tumblr, and it's very likely that a couple of my other friends do as well but I don't know what their blogs would be called, and asking would be suspicious and would prompt them to ask me my blog name. The things I enjoy are specific and well known amongst my friends, if I post the things that I am truly interested in it won't be very hard for the people I know to put the pieces together and know that I partake in age regression. I simply cannot guarantee they'll be understanding and accept me, I love them so dearly that I couldn't bear to lose a single one.

Yes, I could very easily lie about the details of my life and what I'm into but I absolutely hate lying. I was a pathological liar as a child, (in some ways I still am,,,), at one point I decided to vow to be absolutely truthful to the best of my abilities and not talking about what I'm into just isn't true to myself.

Just a few weeks ago I got an account on SpaceHey, another Myspace clone. I knew it wasn't a popular platform so I thought that I would feel better posting on there where the possibility of someone finding me was little to none. The moment I opened the blog page my screen was FLOODED with posts about leaving the site for FriendRewind. I didn't want a lot of people to see my posts,,, but I didn't want to yell into the void!!! I wanted at least ONE person to see my plights!!!

I haven't heard of this site before but since seemingly everyone from SpaceHey was migrating here I thought I might as well too. I do feel safer posting on this website than Tumblr because I know for a fact none of my friends are on this platform and there is little to no one in the fandoms/communities I'm in.

Point is, I'm scared of posting about the things I am actually interested in and specific life experiences for the fear of someone associating this account with myself (AKA actually using a BLOG). I know the easy solution is to not post, or to create a second account not related to age regression, but I really do want to have human interactions since I am a bit of a homebody and I HATE navigating multiple accounts, no matter the platform (and I want an account where I can show all sides of me,,,).

Aren't you supposed to be able to be yourself on the internet? Why can't I seem to do the same without revealing some of my deepest feelings to the people I know, and why is that more exposing than posting them to strangers?

Since this is such a small website I really want to give my earnest attempt at being myself for once, I probably won't do it right away, but eventually I might post about the stuff I like.

I'm so not going to tell my friends about this website so they can't join and find me teehee (and if they do join, they're so blocked!!!).
