So in my last blog, I talked about several things that were on my mind, creative business being one of them, and in particular, was just barely alluding to some form of a struggle in that category
However, I didn't get quite into enough detail about the situation at hand when I made the blog
Thus I'd like to expand on that
So I've been working on an animated project for a bit of a while and it's been a fun yet tiring affair- the effort has, over three and a half years, given me many audition tapes from prospective VAs, a few honest attempts at a pilot script, some animated character designs, an animatic and a lot of notes- not to mention a well put together, but constantly shifting in numbers, creative group
However this thing, as it is an EXTREMELY indie undertaking, has its downsides
Mainly the fact that I'm basically, as the producer, the sole person in charge of both promoting the show to...well everyone (potential audiences and potential creative partners/collaborators/crew)
Between this and keeping that group together by a schedule, I've proven to be a halfway decent but also nowhere near effective enough team lead
So at the moment, I've sorta become consumed by a combo of working the show out as I bring it back from hiatus, figuring out more effective ways at promoting it (with a friend), and trying to find a better person to help co-lead the whole thing and take some burden off me/be more effective at saying and scheduling shit
so TLDR- making a show is hard as hell, but i love it and it might be worth it if i just had some help....or some good publicity, either one works
